This is my blog about software testing, automation, and related topics.

A little about me.  A degree in electrical engineering led to a U.S. Air Force career in the electronic communications field.  The Air Force is a great opportunity to see the world by the way.  I served two tours in Japan: Yokota Air Base and Misawa Air Base.

After leaving the Air Force in 1994 I endeavored to become a technical Japanese translator and ended up working in telephone technical support at a Seattle software company that had a Japanese language product.  I earned my MCSE certification and did a job switch over to Microsoft’s Redmond campus.  I worked at Microsoft as both an IT and product developer, then changed roles to a software development engineer in test (SDET) where I worked on several teams.  My favorite team was SQL Server Reporting Services.

I left Microsoft in 2011, and am currently employed as a software engineer in test at a major corporation headquartered in downtown Seattle.
